How to Remove password protection in Kaspersky without the password
Tested in Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky Antivirus versions
1. Boot into Safe Mode.
2. Press the Windows Key + R
3. Type regedit and press ENTER.
4. 32 Bit Users: Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREKasperskyLabprotectedAVP8settings
64 Bit users: Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodeKasperskyLabprotectedAVP8settings
5. Double click on EnablePswrdProtect and change the value to 0.
6. Double click on OPEP and make it a blank value.
7. Restart your computer.
