How to Enable Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) on Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019

To Enable Remote Desktop Protocol

Open PowerShell with Administrator privilege

Execute the 2 command below

Set-ItemProperty -Path 'HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server' -name "fDenyTSConnections" -value 0
Enable-NetFirewallRule -DisplayGroup "Remote Desktop"

To Disable Remote Desktop Protocol

Set-ItemProperty -Path 'HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server' -name "fDenyTSConnections" -value 1
